 Takato Matsuki is an ordinary 10 year old. A shy boy who enjoys playing the Digimon card game, Takato wishes he had a best friend he could talk to. So one day he draws a picture of a Digimon. An unknown force delivers a mysterious blue card that allows Takato’s picture to come to life and gives birth to Guilmon….. And so begins a new chapter for the latest Digimon Tamer.

 Discovering that Guilmon is his friend, Takato is overjoyed to see a Digimon come to life. He tries to help Guilmon adjust to life in the Real World. Unfortunately Guilmon wanders off while Takato is at school. Trying desperately to find his friend, Takato meets Henry Wong, another Digimon Tamer, and his Digimon, Terriermon. Meanwhile, Rika Nonaka and Renamon battle Ogremon and then set their sights on their next target…..Guilmon and Takato.

 Despite Takato’s please, Rika orders Renamon to attack Guilmon. The battle is evenly matched until Rika demonstrates how to Digi-Modify, and upgrades Renamon’s firepower. Only Takato’s quick thinking saves Guilmon from defeat. The fight is stopped when Henry and Terriermon interrupt the battle, but Rika uses the time to plan her next ambush. Unfortunately Terriermon is caught in the crossfire, and in the heat of battle he manages to Digivolve into Gargomon. But Gargmon has no control over his powers, threatening everyone’s lives…..

 Guilmon was able to quickly subdue Gargomon and he eventually turns back into Terriermon. Henry thinks back to how he and Terriermon met, when he thought that Digimon were just part of a computer game instead of real creatures, and of the consequences of when Terriermon first Digivolved. Unfortunately, their past is catching up to them, as Terriermon and Henry’s first opponent, Gorillamon has come to the real world and wants revenges. But can Terriermon and Guilmon defeat a Champion-level Digimon? Especially without any offensive cards and Henry unwilling to let Terriermon Digivolve?
