 Davis and the others discover that they have a new enemy, Arukenimon.
Called to save the Digital World by Mimi and Patomon, the Digidestined are defeated by the incredible power of Golemon. The only way to stop Golemon is to kill him, but can they do that? There are no control spirals or dark towers. How can the Digidestined defeat Golemon otherwise?
When Ken appears and begins to use lethal force, Yolei starts to doubt him. But Palomon helps Yolei realize that there is a secret behind Golemon which none of them knew about. This truth helps Yolei release the power needed to Digivolve Hawkmon into Aquillamon, Lord of the Skies.

 Ken and the other Digidestined are still at an awkward crossroad. Not knowing if they can trust each other, but wishing they can, they work towards the same goal separately.
Davis and Yolei are unable to convince all sides to come together. But a dire situation forces them to once again team up. Arukenimon has unleashed a double menace, an ultimate Digimon named Okuwamon, and an explosive chain reaction in Ken's old floating fortress.
If the reaction isn't stopped, the entire Digital World could be detroyed. But with an ultimate Digimon in the way, the Digidestined may not be able stop the reaction in time. Worse, only Ken can stop the reaction.
Davis must find Ken and help him realize that his life still has a purpose. Ken and Stingmon both realize that the only way to undo the wrongs they have done is to work together with the other Digidestined.
As Davis and Ken's minds and hearts agree as one, their Digimon undergo a fantastic Digivolution....DNA Digivolving.

 Arukenimon devises a way to take care of all of her enemies at once. She uses her power to control insect Digimon to lure the Digidestined into a gigantic house, where everything seems a hundred foot tall.
The Digidestined and Ken enter the house with confidence, but Ken and Cody are shocked when their Digimon fall under Arukenimon's spell.
